July 24, early hours of morning, Sun was making its way for another splendid day and so did we. Nizamuddin basti was the destination explorers choice to discover era of Saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia and Mirza Galib.
Area of Nizamuddin is famous for Qawwalis and Karim. Mohammad Umair from Aga Khan foundation accompanied us through the walk and told us some of the interesting stories and facts about the monuments.
Umair stopped at this house and to our surprise this house in yellow is the biggest in the area and the residence for head priest of Kalan mosque.
It is used for regular prayers and also acts as a serai for religious people, who would like to learn more about Muslim teachings.
Urs Mahal next to Chaunsath Khamba, serves as space for yearly Qawwali festival.
After discovering tomb of Ataga Khan, it was time to visit shrine of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia.
And at the end visit to the residence of Hazarat Nizamuddin.
